بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Al-A'raf (Arabic: ٱلأعراف, الاعراف; meaning: heights) is the seventh chapter (surah) of the Qur'an which contains 206 verses. With reference to the time of the revelation and the context (context of revelation), it is a "Makni Surah", which means that it was revealed in Makkah. The name of this chapter is taken from verses 46-47, in which the word Aaraf comes.

According to Abul-Ali Maududi, the time of its revelation is almost equal to the reward. e., the last year of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad's stay in Makkah: The style of his advice clearly indicates that it belongs to the same period and both have the same historical background.
